About the Team:

This role is part of our OPF – Technical Architect Team.

What You Bring:

• 9+ years of experience in J2EE application development, including 3 years as an architect or associate architect.
• Proficiency in Core Java, J2EE, ANSI SQL, XML, Hibernate, EJB, Workflow Engines (BPEL/BPMN2), and JMS.
• Good knowledge of Cloud-native architecture, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Prometheus.
• Understanding of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS models.
• Capability in enterprise architecture and design patterns, with experience in Cloud-native, SOA architecture and design as an added advantage.
• Experience as an application development lead or architect, making decisions on architecture and design choices.
• Ability to mentor, train, and coach senior developers and technical leads.
• Involvement in complete project lifecycle, collaborating with stakeholders from client, product, project, DevOps, and non-functional engineering teams.
• Knowledge of application profiling, database tuning, cluster tuning, and JMS tuning.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Identifying, reviewing, and presenting input on project activities and plans.
• Designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining programs and system enhancements.
• Communicating architectural solutions to professionals and leaders at all levels.
• Ensuring compliance with established architecture, design patterns, policies, standards, and best practices.
• Providing technical guidance and supporting system development.
• Recommend changes to improve project design concepts.
• Developing design specifications, installation instructions, and system-related information.
• Verifying the stability, interoperability, portability, security, and scalability of Java system architecture.

Bonus If You Have:

• Knowledge of FIS’ products and services.
• Understanding of the financial services industry.
• Familiarity with basic financial analysis principles and ratios.
