We are looking for a Product Analyst to understand the behaviour of Hunch users and derive meaningful insights from different sources of data.

What is Hunch?

Hunch is a polls-only, pseudonymous social network to know what your friends and people around you think on topics that are esoteric, unconventional, and never discussed.

Hunch aims to be the go-to source for honest opinions on all conversations that matter. We will play the role of alternative social media serving entertainment, education on popular topics, cultures, etc, and all other self-actualization, self-esteem, and belonging needs.

Type of Work:

Are you an experienced Product Analyst with insights into the world of Social Media? Someone who understands Reddit and Twitter at the same level.

This is a unique and highly impactful role at a fast-growing Series A-funded company. In this position, you will be guiding better product and business decision-making by analyzing a combination of product usage and product performance data.

To succeed in this role, we’ll love for you to have:

• At least 5 – 7 years of hands-on analyst experience, preferably in social media or in consumer analytics
• Strong user affinity with a solid understanding of product usage and performance.
• Experience and understanding of metrics, measurement, and interpretation – measures like ARPDAU, LTV, and CAC should come as second nature
• Experience in working with 3rd party analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Clevertap, Adjust, etc.
• Expert SQL and Python skills, including experience querying large, complex data sets.
• Have advanced knowledge of data visualization tools (preferably Tableau)
• Experience in collating and cleaning data from multiple sources (ex: Excel, Rest API, SQL databases, etc)
• Expert knowledge of Excel including tables, charts, and advanced formulas for data manipulation.
• Capability to prioritize and balance efforts against simultaneous projects.
• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering Sciences, or similar.
• Experience in the following would be highly beneficial, but not must-haves:

— Sentiment analysis or causal inference

— Advanced analytics approaches like machine learning, optimization, and simulation

Expected Key Deliverables 💪:

• Setting up data pipelines from several 3rd party tools for a single source of truth.
• Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.
• Examine data for correlations and extract patterns beyond what would be achievable with univariate analyses.
• Support development and product quality strategies through data-informed insights and analysis.
• Partner to develop requirements for dashboards, data cubes, and reports.
• Assess the impact of feature-related adjustments to determine if expected improvements have been achieved
• Lead or represent analytics delivery during weekly meetings.
• Teach power users how to improve their use of dashboards.
• Build and run data mining models.
• Build interactive and real-time dashboards.
• Communicate complex results to technical and non-technical audiences (across different teams)

Working @ Hunch

We are a Series A funded web3 startup, based out of Singapore and being steered by 3 founders – Ish Goel, Nitika Goel, Kartic Rakhra. Ish has been a 3x entrepreneur. He also served as the founding CTO of Nexus Mutual from 2017-2020 and got his exit at a 100x multiple. He then moved on to build PlotX in Mar 2020.

We have two products – PlotX & Hunch. PlotX is a fantasy trivia game, and Hunch is a pseudonymous social media app.

Hunch is a big focus for our business, and has been recently launched on android / iOS. Think of Hunch as a crossover of Reddit & Twitter! We are 60+ people, and the same team is working on both products.

We also work on an array of technologies, including but not limited to Solidity, NodeJS, MEAN/MERN stack, Mobile Technologies like Ionic / Flutter, Cloud Technologies like AWS.
