About Medhavi Skills University: Medhavi Skills University (MSU) is a government notified and UGC, DGT & NSDC recognised Skills University of North East India, which has been established with the passage of the Medhavi Skills University Act 2021 by the Sikkim State Government. MSU is promoted by a group of IIT / IIM Alumni with a vision to bring convergence of the skilling ecosystem with the higher education tracks by promoting in-demand Skill Integrated Higher Education linked to Employability and career progression. MSU is the first of its kind pioneering university model where corporates/ industries are the stakeholders and influencers in curriculum design, programme delivery and for providing practical skills training via on-the-job training opportunities.

Overview of the Role:

We are looking for trainers and faculty with good academic background with prior experience to join our university. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, taking classes in both offline and online mode, assisting with the development of course material, delivering presentations, and handling other administrative duties.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• P.hD Degree in Finance or Management (MBA in Finance/Management or BBA in Finance/Management) with a relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in teaching / research / industry after Masters
• Combination of Academia and Industry Experience is preferable.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering course curriculum in classroom and/or online, which includes ensuring student awareness of course objectives, approach and evaluation techniques and planning lectures pertaining to core aspects of discipline with industrial relevance.
• Developing e-learning content for the LMS incorporating technology into the learning process.
• Encouraging students to actively participate throughout the class, field activity and on job training/apprenticeships.
• Assisting in assessing the skill gaps among students and align interventions for upgradation from time to time.
• Facilitate, evaluate and monitor the students’ performance during field project, awareness programmes, and On Job Training at Industry.
• Supporting in establishing/designing labs / workshops and conducting lab sessions in consultation with prestigious Industry / Knowledge Partners, R&D centers.
• Participating in developmental role like brand promotion, resource mobilization, conducting seminars/ workshops, sports, extracurricular activities, assessing Library requirements, and organizing foundation course- planning, and other outreach activities.

Key Competencies:

• Skills related to production or service-oriented delivery of solutions utilizing the relevant knowledge, technology, hardware, software, training and application modules.
• Excellent communication in English.
• Knowledge of local language of Sikkim is preferable.
• Presentation skills and Good interpersonal skill.

Compensation:

• Annual Gross from 6 Lacs per annum. Incentives and bonuses are separate.
