Wolters Kluwer is looking for a passionate, motivated, and skilled agile coach to join our team. The agile coach is an important role to help identify key measures of organizational and team agility and use that data to help influence positive change to improve business outcomes. The agile coach seeks to educate, coach, and mentor engineering, product management, and leadership staff on good agile patterns and practices, how to become self-organizing, manage cross-team dependencies, always strive for continuous improvement, and how best to navigate planning and decision making in the way that makes business sense. Our agile coaches are experts in Scrum and Scaled Agile Framework ®, but coach teams on how to adapt them to maximize business outcomes. Our agile coaches must be comfortable working at all levels of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Embrace servant leadership and lead agile behavioural change by example.
Educate, coach, and mentor, teams and leaders at different levels (including senior and middle management) to help improve organizational outcomes thru the application and adaptation of agile frameworks to our business needs.
Work with a variety of styles (hands-on, consultant, or coaching) with new and existing teams of various sizes and locations, depending on need.
Help identify organizational impediments and work with the leadership team to create effective strategies to overcome them.
Facilitate, teach, and/or mentor conflict resolution discussions and alternative approaches to achieve desired business outcomes.
To drive transparency and trust, identify and measure KPIs that assess organizational agility relative to business performance and use those metrics to help drive improvements.
Create and deliver agile training and workshops to teams, stakeholders, and leadership on an ongoing and as-needed basis.
Work as a member of the Lean Agile Center of Excellence to define and drive agile transformation strategy.
Partner with other Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters across the organization to align on driving the intended agile transformation outcomes.
Experience:
8+ years of experience working in software development companies using Agile methodologies in one or multiple of the following roles: Agile Coach/SPC, Release/Solution Train Engineer, or Scrum Master.
2+ years of experience as an agile coach over multiple teams in a software development organization.
Experience working with software platform teams is a must, e.g., where there is a centralized platform organization that multiple application teams leverage.
Experience working with non-SRE and SRE models is a must, e.g., both classic managed services operational paradigms and DevOps-centric paradigms.
Have hands-on experience utilizing Scaled Agile Framework ® and Scrum in software development organizations
Expert in agile values, principles, and practices and lean ways of working.
Have demonstrated experience transitioning software teams to an agile framework and/or improving organizational outcomes thru application and adapting agile frameworks to organizations.
Have excellent presentation, facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, including coaching and mentoring
Experience influencing peers and stakeholders and leading change.
Passionate about sharing your experiences and knowledge and growing your peers.
Driven, curious, and a continuous learner who strives to understand the business impact of work.
Ideal to have
SAFe Release Train Engineer, SAFe Program Consultant, or higher-level SAFe certification(s)
