Job Description

Role and responsibilities of patient counsellor

1. Co-ordination with the doctors/consultants for counselling the patients and their attendants for stress management and other hospital related issues, if any.

2. Daily visit to all admitted patients for counselling and prescribed diet plan, medication and resolve queries, if any.

3. To meet all discharged, LAMA & DOPR patients and do counselling.

4. To take feedback from the patients at the time of discharge.

5. To meet all dissatisfied patients and do counselling as well as motivate them to follow the therapeutic program to achieve result.

6. To collect the absconding patients files and enquire the reason of absconding.

7. To contact discharged patient telephonically and get feedback from them.

8. Participate in daily round of Medical Superintendent.

9. Any other work assigned by the management.

10.Experience in Reputed Medical College and Hospital.

Qualification: PG in Psychology, Social Work and Sociology
