We have 2 open positions:
1. Montessori Guide:
Role:
– Observing, guiding, supervising, and assessing children while they learn in the classroom environment.
– Developing lesson plans, independent learning exercises, curricula, and methods that cater to the needs of the individual child.
– Creating and maintaining a safe, clean, stimulating classroom where all children feel safe and valued.
– Establishing rapport and building relationships with students based on trust.
– Setting an excellent example for students and instilling good values in them like empathy, honesty, accountability, understanding, tolerance, respect, love, and kindness.
– Monitoring and assessing student progress and writing up reports.
– Ensuring classroom supplies and equipment are available and in working condition.
– Updating records on the school database and handling various other administrative tasks.
– Participating in school activities and accompanying students on field trips.
– Interviewing and assisting with the training of all new teachers.
Qualification:
– Completed Montessori Primary Diploma (preferably from IMTC)
– Passionate about Montessori Education.
– An ability to teach groups of children of varying ages, needs, and abilities.
– Patience and excellent observational and communication skills.
– The ability to multitask, keep calm under pressure, and treat everyone with love and respect.
– Excellent planning and organizational skills.
– A lifelong learner who can be a good role model for children.
– Willing to commit for at least 4-5 years.
2. Assistant Montessori Guide:
Role:
– Assisting the Montessori Environment Guide
– Observing the student and noting any behavioural changes or patterns during the day
– Helping with activities such as reading, music, art, science, etc.
– Ensuring the environment is prepared and ready to welcome the children.
– Reporting any accidents or injuries that occur at school to the appropriate individual
– Providing emotional support to children
– Take note of school supplies.
Qualification:
– We can sponsor an online Montessori teacher training course for the concerned person but they need to commit to us for 4-5 years.
– Minimum qualification – graduate
– Be capable of physically assisting students as required (positioning, lifting, transferring, restraining, etc.)
– Have demonstrated the ability to work effectively under the direction of others.
– Have demonstrated the ability to work cooperatively with others.
– Can take responsibility of the lead teacher if the same is unavailable.
– Ability to adapt to the changing needs of children and the environment
– Passion for Montessori Methodology, combined with excellence in communicating this philosophy to parents and other community members, preferred.
– Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and other team members.
