Master Teacher(PCMB)- Test Prep, Avanti Fellows
Position Summary:
The Master Teacher is the backbone of Avantis Test Prep Program responsible for the end-to-end
operations including teaching, training and motivating students towards achieving their learning goals.
We are looking for Teachers having 4-6 years of experience in Teaching (JEE Advance/NEET level)
The role of a Master Teacher involves the following tasks, functions and responsibilities:
1. Classroom Teaching and Management
• Conduct Online/Offline classes for JEE/NEET as per the expertise and allotted subject
• Teach students for ~30 hours a week using Avantis unique pedagogy in which students discuss
conceptual questions with peers and work collaboratively on problem sets/assignments
• Explain concepts with clarity in a creative & interesting way using real life examples.
• Actively monitor students progress, their classwork and homework to ensure that they are on track to
achieve their learning goals
2. Training of trainee teachers
• Work closely with trainee teachers, train them on Avanti Pedagogy & introduce them to JEE/NEET Coaching
• Conduct offline/online teacher training in different districts of Punjab as per requirement
• Travel to different districts in Punjab to monitor new teachers
• Observe classes and give feedback to trainee teachers
3. Mentoring, Career Guidance and Academic Support
• Build strong relationships with students through one-on-one interaction sessions, helping students
overcome their problems both academic and personal – in the process
• Regularly work with students to break down their academic workload into small achievable goals;
Track their progress on these goals
• Debrief with students regularly on their test scores and classroom performance (both State Board and Avanti); suggesting ideas for improvement
• Enable students to chalk out their future career paths by providing them with information about different options available to them based on their strengths and interests
4. Conduct Doubt Solving Sessions (as per available bandwidth)
• Conduct doubt solving sessions for trainee teachers
• Conduct doubt solving sessions for students
• Create repository of content for doubt solving sessions
5. Content creation & updation on the portal
• Upload recorded lectures on AF portal
• Prepare video solutions for weekly tests
6. Data Analysis
• Consistently collect and upload feedback about classroom and test performance on Avanti’s online learning management system
• Analyze students’ performance and track high/low performers
• Document reasons for deviation in student performance; devise solutions to address those problems
Requirements:
• Basic proficiency in using computer software
• Full time degree in M.Sc./ B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech
• Passion for teaching & working in the Education Sector.
• Previous experience in teaching is a plus.
• Proficiency in Class XI & XII Physics/Chemistry/Maths/Biology (either one subject).
• Experience required is 4-6 years of JEE/NEET level teaching
• Ability to connect with, inspire and motivate students
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills
Language:
Proficiency in English, Hindi & Punjabi(for Punjab location)
Note: Language command-Reading, Writing and Speaking of Punjabi is must(for Punjab location only)
Salary Details: Commensurate with experience
