SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Influence habit changes that increase team performance at a sustainable pace
• Ability to shield team from outside distractions and interferences
• Leading and coaching the team in growing its Agile maturity
• Organize and facilitate backlog planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, iteration and release planning, demos and other Agile-related meetings
• Track and communicate team velocity, iteration/release progress, and impediments using Azure DevOps
• Maintain process documentation as needed
• Teaching and advocacy of Agile and Scrum

RELATIONSHIPS/CONTACTS

• Reports directly to the Manager, IT Applications
• Works with employees at all levels of the organization
• Manages expectations on behalf of development team and is accountable for team deliverables
• There are no direct reports for this position

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet expectations of each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required.

EDUCATION:

Preferred undergraduate degree in computer science, information systems or related field and/or equivalent work experience

Scrum Master Certification required

EXPERIENCE:

Prefer recent experience within eCommerce environments working with customer facing web applications and 5 or more years’ experience as a Scrum Master working with teams across multiple locations and time zones

 
 
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE and/or ABILITIES

• Knowledge of software development life cycle.
• Proficiency with some combination of SQL, .NET, RPG, Java
• Extensive knowledge in Agile practices and philosophy
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and concurrent projects sometimes spanning 6 to 12 months 
• Ability to work through complex issues and identify required interventions
• General understanding of business strategies
• Demonstrated presentation, oral and written communication skills
• Ability to comply and enforce compliance of all state and federal regulations, Company standards, and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
