The prominent role of the Residential Schools- Principal is to lead residential schools that can cater to the use of modern equipment’s, amenities and school requirement of present needs. To oversee the upgraded teaching methodologies, blended with effective use of technology is the key success to the role. His professional career to date shows exemplary commitment to boarding education.
Key Responsibilities:
– Nurture tender buds in Boarding School from pre-nursery to Class XII with the best of learning facilities.
– Creation of comprehensive classroom assessment methods and techniques-adopted practical tools that comply with the education board. Efficiently use various interactive and innovative teaching modern techniques to enhance learning.
– Establish a learning environment to meet and enhance the children’s need of emotional, intellectual, social and creative strengths. Leading the efforts across honing the linguistic abilities of the student.
– The head of Boarding school plays a full strategic role in the strategic direction of the school, developing, personifying, and ensuring a whole school ethos which promotes the AIS values for all students, staff, parents, and the local community.
– Maintain seamless coordination with school members and assist teachers in executing functions.
– Proven ability to easily assimilate new ideas, concepts, methods and technologies of the 21st century.
– Planning, organizing and monitoring curricular and co-curricular activities for the personality development of students.
– Creation of teacher training on experiential learning and multidisciplinary teaching modern methods, and to conduct sessions for parents and teachers. Be responsible for the management, training and development of residential and non-residential staff, ensuring that all staff have a clear understanding of their responsibilities to provide care for their students.
-Lead and manage the day to day operations of the boarding school to ensure healthy and safe stay environment for the students.
– To ensure the Indian compliance of Legal acts for the protection of students and staff in the residential schools. An all in one master trainer in Prevention of Child Abuse and expertise in integrating technology in education.
– Produce a detailed report to the Head and Directors, indicating success, areas of improvement, and provision for ensuring financial efficiency.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Qualification and Education
– Must have a master’s degree in education administration or educational leadership at an accredited college or university. Postgraduate qualifications would be advantageous.
– A minimum of 15 years of teaching experience, including extensive experience in residential positions (at globally renowned Indian schools) as a senior leader. Appropriate familiarity with the Indian Curriculum of CBSE, IGSE/GCSE and other educational Indian boards.
Commitment to Teaching
All staff need to be comfortable guiding highly able students, supporting their progress to the India’s best universities.
Commitment to Boarding
Students are residential-on site and Day-boarders close to the school. Academic staff will be fully involved in boarding, including evening and weekend duties and residential visits. A passion for educating the whole child is essential.
English Language Ability
Appointment will require fluency in English.
