Department: Sales and Business Development
Position Overview:
Your role will start with contacting potential learners to set up virtual meetings, counsel the learners and sell / convert to admissions. You will contact warm leads for programs via phone and email / consult potential students on how our programs can help them achieve their career goals. Outcome measured will be the number of lead conversions / admissions generated.
Operational skills / Role expectations:
Lead Generation, Nurturing and Conversion: o Cold calls, direct emailing, and perform other lead generation activities.
i. Build and manage pipeline of leads that have inquired about our programs.
ii. Provide in-depth and customized information on courses / programmes to prospective students via phone and email.
iii. Strong phone presence / Comfortable making 120+ dials and/or emails a day to connect with warm leads and to generate further leads.
iv. Work with the prospective learners though the enrolment process by following up and building urgency.
v. Ability to build a referral funnel from the existing students.
vi. Close sales, generate conversions to achieve weekly, monthly and quarterly quotas.
• Reporting and Feedback:
1. Adhere to the inside sales process, data management processes and workflow.
2. Record, track and report sales activities on timely basis using the CRM tool.
3. Initiate and implement plans to increase sales in coordination with reporting manager.
4. Periodic reports to the reporting manager w.r.t activities done
5. Provide feedback to leadership on call quality, observed trends, and insights from student conversations
6. Display efficiency in gathering market and customer info, to enable product feedback and improve product positioning.
Other Skills mandatory for the role:
1. Thorough understanding of the sales process and should have proven track record.
2. Candidate to be self-motivated and entrepreneurial with a passion to drive and build sales from a modest starting point.
3. MS Office Skills
4. Excellent inter-personal, communication (both verbal and written) and listening skills
5. Good cross-cultural awareness to be able to effectively communicate with customers from various geographies.
6. Experience using a CRM
7. Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize a large pipeline with difference stages in the enrolment process that require follow up.
8. Ability to hit metrics, targets without being micromanaged.
Education:
Graduate / Post graduate from any institute, MBA can be an added advantage.
Experience: 3-6 years of experience in Sales function, preferably selling Higher Education courses (Inbound Sales, One-on-one selling, Lead generation and conversion roles
