About Us WWF-India is seeking to recruit a qualified Education Officer for the Environment Education programmes for Maharashtra State Office, t o ensure effective development and implementation of Ek Prithvi Model Schools and other Environment Education programmes engaging students, teachers and communities
Location : Mumbai, Maharashtra
Job Profile:
- Engage with students, teachers, principals for effective implementation of the program
- Organize capacity building workshops and other events for teachers, students.
- Collect and collate data as evidences for assessing impact.
- Network and coordinate with the School Education Department, Maharashtra.
- Project documentation, reporting and budget monitoring.
- Outreach and engagement on wild wisdom global challenge, volunteer programmes among various schools and colleges in Maharashtra.
- Citizen outreach and engagement for eco days and Earth Hour.
Requirements
Desired Qualifications and Experience :
- Candidates should have a post graduate degree in Environment Science/Education/Life Science/Social Science from a reputed university.
- The applicant should have experience of upto 3 years working on project management, monitoring and educational activities. Experience in Environment Education space is desirable.
- Understanding of the education system
- Work experience in Environment Education is desirable.
- Good written and presentation skills.
- Well versed with Microsoft office.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with fluency in English and Marathi.
- Ability to self-manage, prioritise and work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders
- Contractual for a period of 1 year
- May have to travel to WWF-India’s secretariat and in locations within Maharashtra
