The Role (EdTech Experience Required)

• This is a highly visible role that reports to the CEO and will build a team of direct reports based in India.
• We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated GTM leader who is passionate about making an impact to join our mission-oriented team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and executing effective GTM strategies to drive growth and increase Woolf’s market share in India.
• You will use your business insight and strategic thinking to deliver insights and actionable recommendations that help align decision-making with business objectives.
• This role may be the right fit for you if you are based in India, are passionate about B2B and B2B2C GTM operations, have a strong financial and analytical background, a willingness to work in a small high-growth start up, and a record of driving growth and operational improvements as a strategic member of the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and own the India GTM function, including hiring direct reports and working cross functionally and internationally with other teams
• Report directly to the CEO on Indian market growth
• Develop in-depth understanding of growth drivers at Woolf across the entire Marketing and Sales funnel; connect our GTM strategy to financial implications and develop actionable recommendations to influence business strategy and direction
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams, including sales, marketing, and customer success, to develop the perfect GTM playbook
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, opportunities, and threats, and incorporate insights into GTM planning
• Develop and manage GTM project plans, including timelines, deliverables, and milestones, to ensure on-time and on-budget execution
• Monitor GTM performance metrics and KPIs, and provide regular updates and recommendations to senior leadership
• Create and maintain GTM collateral, such as sales enablement materials, marketing assets, and product documentation, in collaboration with internal teams
• Build strong relationships with key partners, industry influencers, and customers to drive strategic partnerships and expand market reach
• Continuously assess and refine GTM processes and strategies to drive continuous improvement and optimize outcomes

Requirements

• 6-8+ years of experience in GTM leadership and execution in EdTech or Startup/EdTech in a highly operational role, preferably in B2B technology or SaaS industries.
• Candidates will be considered if they have a background in consulting (BCG, McKinsey) with EdTech players, MBA preferred
• Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling products and services in India markets
• Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer segmentation, and value proposition development
• Excellent project management, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to drive multiple projects to completion within deadline and budget
• Experience and comfortable working in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences
• Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization
• Analytical and data-driven, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies and tactics

• Experience and interest in EdTech
• Strong financial modeling skills in Excel and understanding of business metrics
• Proficiency in CRM and marketing automation platforms, such as Salesforce and Marketo
• Can jump in and do the hard things yourself when necessary, then get back to delegating
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments
• Previous experience in a leadership or mentorship role, with the ability to hire, guide, and develop junior team members
