The Watercraft Inspector position serves to inform and educate the public to the threats of ecologically harmful aquatic invasive species to Minnesota’s waters. Inspectors will also undergo training of MN DNR protocols and perform thorough inspections on all incoming or outgoing watercraft at multiple lakes throughout Goodhue County. Inspectors will work at public water access sites educating the public by providing information to watercraft users and conducting a brief survey while inspecting watercraft for invasive species. Other duties include assisting with postings and educational materials at access sites, invasive species removal, and other natural resource projects.

Verbal communication and customer relations experience. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a professional setting. Willingness to work odd hours and in adverse weather.
