Roles and Responsibilities
Purpose of the Job – Principal Aurobana Indian School – ICSE
- Direct and manage instructional programs and supervise operations and personnel in the campus.
- Provide vision, leadership, and strategic direction for the academic and extra-curricular environment of the School.
- Responsible for recruiting and directing the development of the teaching and non-teaching/administrative faculty of the school.
- Ensure school policies and regulations are followed at all times.
- Lead the staff members to work cohesively as an efficient and professionally administered team to achieve a high degree of excellence in education, extra-curricular, sports and cultural areas of a child’s growth.
- Ensure that the schools objective of achieving holistic child development is achieved in a value-centric environment.
- Oversee the entire operations of the school.
- Set a good example for children for positive development.
- Maintain a supportive and healthy learning environment.

Key Result Areas for the Incumbent
- Accomplished educationist and prudent leader with rich experience of managing and leading K-12 Schools; well-versed with standard operating procedures, processes, regulations and norms governing ICSE Schools
- At least 15-20 years of relevant teaching experience preferable in a reputed ICSE School, of which at least 4-5 years as PGT / HOD / Vice Principal / Principal and at least 5 years of experience in administration with strong interpersonal skills
- Will play a key role in the Schools improvement and planning process, development of curriculum, teacher training and understanding of institutional developments, administration, affiliation, academics and public relations.
- Must have thorough knowledge of academic standards, teaching methodologies and education policy formulation.
- Purpose: To serve as the chief administrator of the school in developing and implementing policies, programs, curriculum activities, and budgets in a manner that promotes the educational development of each student and the professional development of each staff member.
- General Planning: Conceptualizes the broad goals of the school and plans accordingly to ensure that procedures and schedules are implemented to carry out all programs of the school.
- General Coordination: Ensures that the responsibilities and accountability of staff members are well defined.
- Enhancement of Personnel Skills: Provides activities which facilitate the professional growth of the school staff and enhance the quality of the instructional program.
- School Objectives: Identifies the annual objectives for the instructional, extracurricular, and athletic programs of the school.
- Facilitates Organizational Efficiency: Maintains inter-school system communication and seeks assistance from governing bodies to improve performance. Maintains good relationships with students, staff, and parents and complies with established lines of authority.
- New Staff and Students: Orients and assists new staff and new students and provides opportunities for their input in the school program
- Supplies and Equipment: Manages, directs, and ensures maintenance of records on the materials, supplies, equipment etc which are necessary to carry out the daily school routine. Involves the staff in determining priorities for instructional purposes

Candidate Brief
