Qualifications

• Postgraduate in a social science subject with preferably two years of experience in publishing
• Candidates without experience can also apply
• Proficient in editing, proofreading and content development
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Conversant with technology and familiarity with online learning
• Self-motivated, committed, friendly, responsible, collaborative, creative, able to meet deadlines

Experience

Minimum 2-3 years in school book publishing or in content/curriculum development in associated domains

Responsibilities

• Editing, proofreading and developing content for textbooks and test-prep
• Handling projects independently from editing of raw manuscript to the printing stage
• Coordinating with authors, DTP staff, illustrators and developers
• Interacting with the sales team to resolve product-related queries and with teachers for academic support
• Coordinating with subject matter experts for developing print and digital content
• Developing, editing and proofreading digital content for the web, apps and CDs
• Storyboarding for the animations

Salary: 40K (Negotiable based on experience and skill set)
