Role Overview
Dalhousie Public School, a reputed and well established institution known for its commitment to academic excellence, holistic development, and progressive education, is seeking an accomplished and student centric Vice Principal to support the management in leading the academic, residential, pastoral, and administrative functions of the school. The role requires strong leadership experience in reputed residential or international schools with exposure to IB, Cambridge, and progressive educational practices.
Key Responsibilities
Academic & Curriculum Leadership
· Support academic planning and curriculum implementation.
· Promote inquiry-based and experiential learning practices.
· Monitor teaching quality, assessments, and academic outcomes.
Residential & Pastoral Leadership
· Oversee boarding, student well-being, and safeguarding systems.
· Ensure a disciplined, safe, and nurturing residential environment.
· Support holistic student development and pastoral care initiatives.
Staff Leadership & Professional Development
· Mentor and supervise teaching and residential staff.
· Lead faculty development and performance review processes.
· Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented work culture.
Student Development & School Culture
· Encourage leadership, co-curricular participation, and global outlook.
· Promote positive discipline and inclusive school culture.
· Support life skills, values, and character-building programs.
Administration & Operations
· Assist in examinations, timetables, events, and school operations.
· Ensure smooth coordination across academic and administrative departments.
· Support compliance with institutional and educational standards.
Parent & Stakeholder Engagement
· Maintain strong communication with parents and stakeholders.
· Represent the school during meetings, events, and orientations.
· Support admissions and institutional outreach initiatives.
Strategic & Institutional Development
· Support school improvement and long-term growth initiatives.
· Contribute to innovation and implementation of global best practices.
· Assist in strengthening the school’s academic and residential excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
· Master’s Degree with B.Ed.
· Minimum 10–15 years of experience in reputed schools, including leadership roles.
· Experience in residential/day boarding, IB, Cambridge, or international school environments preferred.
· Strong understanding of academic leadership, pastoral care, and school administration.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
· Convent education background preferred.
