The Data Protection Group drives the product strategy, roadmap, and engineering delivery of the Veritas products, which includes NetBackup, APTARE,  Backup Exec, Enterprise Vault (EV), EV.cloud, eDiscovery platform, and Veritas SaaS Backup.

Veritas is looking for experienced SRE/Operations professionals to help us manage internally mainted instances of our flagship product in the cloud and on premise.

The SRE team will be responsible for the following:

• production deployment
• upgrades
• overall site monitoring
• architecting stability of our SaaS products
• see issues before our customers do, and proactively work to troubleshoot and fix with the help of the software engineering teams
• work directly with customers to resolve issues
• monitor cost and work with engineering teams on changes to reduce it
• proactively improve our automation pipelines
• create scripts for day to day task automation

Job Requirements:

• MS/BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field of study with 5+ years of relevant experience
• Served on an operations team for a live SaaS environment
• Experience designing and implementing automated CI/CD pipelines
• 3+ years working with containerized environments utilizing Docker/Kubernetes (EKS, AKS)
• 3+ years experience deploying and working in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud)
• 3+ years SaaS pipeline experience
• 3+ years managing cloud infrastructure
• Excellent skills in a scripting language such as Python
• Solid understanding of build, test, deploy lifecycle of DevOps pipelines
