The Data Protection Group drives the product strategy, roadmap, and engineering delivery of the Veritas products, which includes NetBackup, APTARE,  Backup Exec, Enterprise Vault (EV), EV.cloud, eDiscovery platform, and Veritas SaaS Backup.

In the Digital Compliance Group, you will have the opportunity to work directly on archiving and discovery products using the latest archiving, searching, indexing and discovery technologies.  This group is devoted to helping customers solve problems related to the combination of growing data volume and types with increasing regulatory and legal demands.  If you are eager to be part of a fast-paced team focused on continual innovation of cutting-edge technology and contribute to the success of market leading products such as Enterprise Vault, Enterprise Vault.Cloud and eDiscovery Platform, then this group is for you!

Responsibilities

Participate in SCRUM teams developing new features and ensure quality of deliverables.

Manage and maintain complex test labs.

Come up with test plan, test scenarios, test execution and automation.

Identify and effectively communicate technical issues and risks using appropriate methods including defect management systems.

Develop best practices for deploying our products.

Follow established procedures and introduce new methods as part of continuous improvement.

Educational Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent Engineering streams

• Experience: 2-5 years of software development experience in an individual contributor role.

Essential Skills:

• C++, C#, .Net and SQL server programming
• Independently able to design, develop and implement automation for Enterprise Software applications on Windows platforms.
• Automate testing and development of software modules to a high-quality standard.
• Experience in testing enterprise software application
• Experience working in Agile/Lean environment.
• Developing automation and test frameworks
• Designing test scenarios, test plans, test cases and test execution
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server
• Understanding & configuration of Virtualization (e.g., VMWare ESX)
• Good troubleshooting skills. Identifying and analyzing problems using a methodical and process driven approach
• Good interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Good to have:

• Knowledge of .NET and PowerShell
• Exposure to cloud
• Exposure to archiving/search domain
• Collaborate with various disciplines within engineering and outside such as product management, user experience, tech support and with customers to provide innovative solutions.
