The Data Protection Group drives the product strategy, roadmap, and engineering delivery of the Veritas products, which includes NetBackup, APTARE,  Backup Exec, Enterprise Vault (EV), EV.cloud, eDiscovery platform, and Veritas SaaS Backup.

We are looking for candidates who have interest in quality engineering. Should know Python on linux. You should also have an eye for validating complex products with great level of detailing and willing to learn the product and technology in depth. In this role, you will validating solutions developed with/on latest technologies. You will own product quality and overall customer experience. You will also propose technical solutions to product/service problems while refining, designing and implementing software components in line with technical requirements.

Minimum Required Skills include:

• BE/Btech/MSc in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field of study with 2-4 years of relevant experience
• Well versed with fundamentals of programming and/or debugging skills in Python and willing to learn
• Fundamental knowledge of operating systems such as Linux and windows along with networking
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Designs, develops and maintains high quality automation code for product components, focusing on quality.

Desired Skills include:

• Experience in Agile development methodologies including both manual and automated testing
• Working knowledge of delivering into cloud based environments using standard CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, Automation) and best practices
• Ability to communicate and collaborate among cross-functional teams to implement innovative and viable solutions for commercial product and internal tool user interfaces
