Job Summary

Varthana is looking for an Engineering Lead who will be handling a team of analysts, and executives mentoring, coaching, motivating, and leading to achieve their targets. The candidate will be ensuring that the team understands how technology will impact the existing business procedure and drive strategic thinking to maximize the growth of the technology as Varthana evolves into a fintech model. The candidate will be conducting business processes, designing, implementing, and delivering overall modules within multiple projects at Varthana. The incumbent should also understand how the technology fits into the context of other technical abilities, customer needs, businessimpact, and corporate strategy and will be monitoring the functional and technical aspects of the project, and supporting all project modules.

Key Role Deliverables

● Team Leadership, Team Development & People Management: Building a high-performing motivated team by working closely with the team members, leading the tech team structure for continuous development and delivery of software products, coaching & mentoring

● Product Development: Responsible for scalable and sound engineering decisions with respect to architecture, solution design, agile development practices, API integrations, cloud & security frameworks, performance and quality optimization for Fintech products built from scratch

● DevOps, DevSecOps & Data Architecture: Responsible for industry best practices with DevOps, Cloud environments, Security practices for all internet facing applications and services, strategies for unifying data across the organizations using the Data Lakes and Automated Data pipelines

● Innovation: innovations in design architecture, customer solutions, performance optimization will be expected

● Relationship Management:

○ Coordinating with product managers, BA’s and business teams for optimum product development

○ Interacting with functional heads on a regular basis to improve and collaborate on projects

Preferred Profile

● Minimum Education Qualification: B.E / B.Tech / M.C.A from a reputed institution

● 10-12 years of experience in product design, and development of application software

● 3-5 years of experience as a technical manager involved in project life cycles, business process workflows, and execution, agile methodology

● Front-end Technologies: Javascript, Typescript, React JS, Node.js, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, SASS, LESS, Bootstrap, Maven, Grunt, Gulp

● Back-end Technologies: Node.js/Java/Python

● Database: PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL Database

● OS Platform: Unix/Linux(Ubuntu)

● Cloud Technologies: Preferred to have Amazon Web Services(AWS) exposure for at least 2 years

● Webservices Frameworks: REST Services, XML, JSON

● Self-motivated, passionate about building softwares, and a skilled people person
