As a Assistant Manager Legal, you will be responsible for providing legal support and guidance to our organization, assisting in legal proceedings, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
What you will do:
- Handling and managing legal cases before various courts, including Civil Courts, Commercial Courts, High Courts, Supreme Court, DRT, NCLT, and Criminal Courts
- Conducting thorough legal research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and precedents to provide accurate and informed legal advice
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including but not limited to Statement of Claims, Replies, Rejoinders, and Criminal Complaints
- Assisting in the preparation and presentation of legal arguments and defenses during court proceedings
- Collaborating with external legal counsel, if required, to represent the organization’s interests in legal matters
- Staying updated on legal developments, judgments, and amendments to relevant laws and regulations
- Providing legal support and advice on contractual matters, including reviewing and negotiating agreements
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines, particularly in relation to regulatory matters pertaining to NBFCs and RBI guidelines
- Advising management and relevant stakeholders on legal risks, potential liabilities, and mitigation strategies
- Assisting in drafting and reviewing legal opinions, legal notices, and other legal correspondence
- Maintaining accurate and organized legal records, documentation, and case files
What you need to have:
- LL.B from a reputed Law College
- 4-6 years of post-qualification experience in Legal Recovery
- Experience in handling cases before Civil Courts including Commercial Courts, High Courts, Supreme Court, DRT, NCLT and Criminal Courts
- Good analytical and research skills
- Ability to draft pleadings, more particularly Statement of Claims, Replies, Rejoinders and Criminal Complaints
- Knowledge of Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996, Civil Procedure Code, 1908, SARFAESI and Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code, 2016
- Knowledge of regulatory matters pertaining to NBFCs and RBI guidelines
Experience: 4 to 6 years
Annual CTC: Rupees 6,00,000 to 10,00,000
