Role: As a Data Architect, you will work with multiple teams to deliver solutions on the Azure/AWS/GCP Cloud using core cloud data warehouse tools. In addition to building the next generation of application data platforms (not infrastructure) and/or improving recent implementations. Experience in Databricks and Spark on other cloud platforms like AWS and GCP is also relevant.

Responsibilities:

These are some typical responsibilities you will have:

  • Lead the data design of solutions for large projects and programs; through expert knowledge translate high-level business requirements into data models and appropriate metadata, test data, and data quality standards.
  • Direct large specialist teams and manage senior business stakeholders to secure strong engagement
  • Simplify the existing data architecture, delivering reusable services and cost-saving opportunities in line with the policies and standards of the group
  • Lead collaborative team working with other areas to ensure that all solutions are complete, operable, conform to business processes and meet the business needs with the agreed quality of service
  • Ensure the project has end-to-end solution and compliance with enterprise data model and logical data groups
  • Lead and participate in the peer review and quality assurance of project architectural artifacts. Report key architecture decisions and implications to the architectural governance forums
  • Identify and communicate appropriate resource requirements and work breakdown structure based on skills profile and best fit to complete the end-to-end solution design, and work with the project manager to ensure that project plans and finances align with the design
  • Drive project knowledge back to the enterprise data model and ensure that it evolves correctly
  • Lead the design, development, implementation and maintenance of complex data systems and solutions
  • Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models to support data analysis and business intelligence
  • Create and maintain current- and target-state data architectures.
  • Define and manage standards, guidelines and processes to ensure data quality
  • Ensure technology solutions are in alignment with data architecture principles and target state
  • Oversee end-to-end data life cycle management activities

We will be looking for the following skills:

  • Experience with distributed management and analytics in the cloud (preferred AWS) and
  • hybrid environments. Also, an understanding of a variety of data access and analytics
  • approaches (for example, microservices and event-based architectures).
  • Entity Relationship modelling, metadata systems, data quality tools and techniques
  • Experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, Hadoop, Teradata,
  • Snowflake, Redshift)
  • Experience developing reference architecture, principles and standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization and work with diverse
  • project teams
  • Experience with ETL and other business intelligence tools
  • Ability to regularly learn and adopt new technology
  • Experience in data warehousing, data modelling and/or data analysis
  • Good knowledge of data management, data integration and database development
  • techniques
  • Experience in or knowledge of utilities business domains is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹3,500,000.00 – ₹5,000,000.00 per year
