Role Summary

Unacademy is seeking a self-motivated, and strategic communications professional to join our corporate communications team in Bangalore. The Manager – Public Relations, reporting to the Director – Public Relations will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of communications plans that advance Unacademy’s corporate brand story with relevant external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Write all critical press materials including press releases, briefing documents, thought leadership documents to drive functional objectives
• Draft crisis communications, considering the external environment
• Closely follow education, tech, and start-up environment to assess story opportunities that have implications on the company’s operations
• Work in a cross-functional setup; with internal stakeholders to understand the overall business, and external stakeholders to develop relevant story opportunities
• Develop and drive relationships and network with relevant media and influencers
• Assist function leads to lead critical communication campaigns

Requirements:

Qualifications Required

• 7 years of relevant public relations experience with an agency or in house corporate communications role
• Excellent Prolific writing, research, and analysis skills with an interest in education technology, corporate campaign building
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have agility in adapting to the situation
