Some may call you the ‘Nerd of all things finance’, but at U&I, you have the potential to unleash both your finance-nerdy and fun side. But here’s the real deal – nothing, literally nothing moves without the moolah-button pushed by you, including our Happy Hours (virtual currently).
Responsibilities-
- If the Professor from Money Heist needed somebody more trustworthy, that’d be you. You oversee, manage and handle all functions of the F&A department, including all financial legal compliance matters; internal controls and audits; reporting; banking relationships and even more.
- You’re the most wanted superhuman, towards the first of every month. Without you, we’ll just be munching a bag of expired potato chips. You manage the entire process of salary payment and applicability, deduction, deposit and returns of employee related statutory payments of EPF, ESI, and professional tax.
- You ensure the authenticity, integrity, accuracy, authorization and verifiability of all financial transactions; accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, TDS, EPF, ESI, PT, FCRA, all statutory filings, etc
- You’re cool with tech, like the Tally accounting software we use, to maintain accounts, data entry and ensure that all accounting entries are entered on the same day
- You don’t let the cooks jump into conclusions. You implement quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
- You’re on trend with current industry practices, and make recommendations for improvements
- You act on accuracy and not just get swayed by emotions through preparing, reviewing, and analysing financial statements
- You ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency and timeliness of all service tax matters including applicability, reverse charge, monthly deposit and half-yearly returns. Ensure compliance at transaction level.
- You ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency and timeliness of all TDS matters including applicability, deduction, monthly deposit and quarterly returns. Ensure compliance at transaction level.
- Ensure FCRA compliances which shall include maintenance of separate books of accounts, ensuring no mixing of FC and LC funds, managing sub-accounts, FCRA returns and other compliances
- You work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end
- You Handle all the IT queries.
Must Haves-
B.Com/M.Com – CPA or MBA preferred- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Excellent fluency with Tally and knowledge of all features and functionalities
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Proactive and well organized with high level of attention to detail
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other financial systems.
