About The Role

We are looking for motivated Postgraduate Teaching Assistants (PGTAs) and Teaching Assistants, for the 2024-2025 academic year, to be part of an enthusiastic and committed programme team in an international learning environment. You will support teaching and learning across designated modules, working with the academic modules leads through the delivery of small group teaching for students undertaking programmes in the Global Business School for Health. We are looking for individuals with specific knowledge and/or interest from our module catalogue.

The main duties of the post include facilitating seminar sessions and tutorials, regular meetings with the module leader, managing discussion boards and provision of feedback to students, scheduled weekly office hours, attendance reporting, coursework assessment and examination marking.

Once recruited you will be given induction and training in support of your role. The number of hours to be worked each week will be agreed with the PGTA according to their availability and module schedule.

The salary for this role is on an hourly paid basis on Grade 6 of the UCL Salary Pay Scale.

About You

You will have the ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing, with students, academic and administrative staff at all levels. You must have excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to be flexible, work independently and as part of a team and have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

All PGTA applicants must be current PhD students – in a relevant discipline and enrolled until at least early 2025. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
