Tech, MBA Experience At least 5 years of experience in Business Development with exposure to sales, business development role etc Technical Knowledge Sales process knowledge, Key account management Behavioral Competencies Target Orientation, Client orientation, Collaborating with client and internal teams, Communicating with impact, Negotiation skills To acquire, cultivate and grow business from companies/ organizations in an assigned territory for programmes for working professionals AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY (Key Activities) 1 Achievement of Semester wise Admissions and Revenue Goals Prospect for new corporate clients in territories and sectors allocated by the supervisor. Pitch for appropriate programmes and convince the client to sponsor their employees for programmes. Reach out to existing clients during every admission cycle and ensure continuity and growth of business. Ensure achievement of admission and revenue goals allocated. 2 Opportunity Identification Study market trends, understand regional client base, competitor landscape and identify potential companies in the focus industries; Share key highlights with reporting manager; Create and review sales pipelines based on potential conversion of opportunities; Identify stated and unstated needs of companies through meetings and thorough research; 3 Proposal Development and Validation Prepare response to RFP with support from Supervisor and other experts. Prepare documentation and seek validation from reporting manager for high value engagements; Submit proposal to client within timelines 4 Negotiation and Contracting Develop negotiation strategy based on profit margins, cost estimation and competitor quotations; Build a case by showcasing design strength, faculty etc. for negotiations and secure an internal sign-off from reporting manager for high value engagements; Initiate direct conversation and conduct one-on-one negotiations with clients; Involve reporting manager in high value, complex deals; Oversee contracting activities; Address scope modifications; Secure approvals from reporting manager 5 Internal stakeholder Management Need to coordinate with academic stakeholders with respect to specific commitments made to clients. Work closely with operations team to ensure timely delivery of services to corporate clients in the assigned territory. Achievement of revenue targets within region; Actual versus planned admissions within region; Order intake from new clients in region in INR (% of Order Intake for year); Client Engagement (score on a 5-point scale for Key Accounts ) (Feedback should include whether specific organization needs are met or not); # of RFPs responded to vs. no. of RFPs accepted by companies (or Number of new accounts created); # of client issues solved vs. total no. of issues
