Tutorly is a premier American online tutoring company. We are recruiting talented tutors for online tutoring in core academic subjects as well as standardized test preparation for American students. Led by CEO Vikram Akula (founder of SKS Microfinance/Bharat Financial Inclusion and Vaya FinServ), Tutorly is expanding its team. Overview:

We know that one of the biggest challenges tutors face is connecting with students. On large aggregate tutoring platforms, students have to weed through thousands of different profiles, and top tutors are often overlooked and unable to find enough work.
We are doing things differently, by choosing a very select group of tutors to train and market to families. Fewer than 1% of applicants are accepted, so that we can get to know each tutor and provide the best marketing and support. Our client leads personally match each student and tutor, which allows our tutors to spend their time doing what they love—working with students—while leaving the marketing and administration to us.
All work will be done remotely.
The certification program for this recruitment drive involves up to two weeks of skill development in pedagogy, communication, and technology. The program ranges from 15-60 hours, depending on the experience level of the tutor. A pen-tablet will be provided during the certification phase and a stipend will be given.

Requirements
Qualifications:
You must be an expert (able to currently score in at least the 90th percentile) in at least one of the subjects below. If we decide to move forward, we will ask you to take an online, proctored proficiency test in the AP or SAT subject you are interested in teaching. You must score 100% on this exam in order to be considered for this position.

Have at least three years of consistent online tutoring experience
Have a degree or be a current student at a university from a reputed university in India or abroad
Have a private space within your home that is quiet and suitable for online sessions
Have a desktop or laptop, stable internet connection, and stable electricity. We will provide other technology, including a pen-tablet, webcam, and ring light.
Be extremely responsive via text and email
Be personable, engaging, and warm
Be open to learning and adapting to new styles of communication and teaching and be able to receive constructive feedback
Be able to build trust and rapport with students virtually
Be the best of the best, the type of tutor that students remember forever. We are looking for tutors who have years of experience tutoring or teaching, people who students love working with, and who have a passion for and commitment to student learning and improvement in outcomes.

Benefits
Compensation:
Tutors will have complete flexibility over their schedules and can choose to work as many hours as they wish. Timings will be geared toward time zones of American students.
Tutors will earn:
INR 1,000 per session for sessions taking place between 4 am and 2 pm IST
INR 1,100 per session for sessions taking place between 12 am and 4 am IST
Being accepted as a tutor by Tutorly does not guarantee any set number of hours. Student requests will be provided as they become available, and tutors will have the opportunity to accept or decline any opportunities offered.
