JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Admissions Counsellor/Sr. Admissions Counsellor
Location: Mumbai
Work Days: 6 days
Week off: Based on roster followed by the team.
Working Hours: 10.00am – 7.00pm
Time to Join: Immediate
Compensation: Best, as per industry standards
Role Definition:
The WorldGrad is seeking talented, sales-oriented professionals to build a strong student admissions team. As the Admissions Counsellor, you will be responsible for:
1. End to end management and conversion of student leads received
2. Initial qualification of the leads via calling
3. Speaking with students and parents to understand their needs and accordingly explain the benefits of the product, answer questions etc.
4. Taking the student and parents through the appropriate sales journey which will include multiple touch-points (email, phone, video sessions etc.)
5. Final objection handling and price negotiation
6. Adhere to outreach and sales targets on a weekly/monthly basis
7. Identifying references through the existing customer base to increase the sales pipeline
8. Details pertaining to lead discussions & conversion should be updated real-time on CRM software
9. Providing constant feedback to the internal sales and marketing team to ensure the refinement of the sales process and messaging
The Admissions Counsellor will be responsible for working directly with the student and parents and helping them build trust in the product.
They have the unique opportunity of being an initial member of the sales team for a new and exciting product for students looking to go abroad for
their studies, thus providing an exciting opportunity to learn and grow internally as well. This person will report directly to the Head of Sales.
Who are we looking for?
1. Qualification: Bachelor degree
2. Experience: 3-6 years of professional experience in either sales or admissions
3. The candidate should have sales and admissions experience in the higher education study abroad sector
a. Candidate should be comfortable meeting and counseling parents and students
4. Ability to approach any situation with patience and very strong empathy
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident to meet and speak with prospective parents
6. Technology: Comfortable with using a CRM software
7. Entrepreneurial: Willing to quickly adapt and learn, and has a “get-it-done” attitude
