Roles and Responsibilities

EDUCATION COUNSELOR

Education Counsellor is the professional individual who is responsible for providing educational career advice, educational support and counselling. Service work is for students of all ages regardless of any bar/ group. They help students build a career of their choice and aspirations. Education Counsellor work on all aspects of education field likewise academics, professional, vocational and certifications. They guide the students thoroughly with their field knowledge, prior research and update. Apart from specific academic degree persuasion, education counsellor also guides the students about skills and social knowledge needed.

• Interpersonal skills
• Aptitude for selling
• Ability to work under pressure
• Sales and marketing experience
• Computer experience
• Monetary transaction skills
• Proven research, organizational and time management skills
• Travel experience an asset
• Second language an asset
• Secondary school diploma is required
• Related college diploma is usually requested
• Certification with the Canadian Institute of Travel Counsellors may be needed (This certification requires completion of a knowledge exam, having 1000 hours work experience and passing a practical evaluation of performance)

Education and Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 12HRS DUTY
