The DAV Group – Chennai, was established in 1970 at Gopalapuram in Chennai with just 50 students. The Group today, caters to over 40,000 students across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. It has a staff of 2000 plus which includes 1,700 teachers. Four of our branches have been consistently ranked amongst top 15 schools in the country.
In addition to K-12 schooling, DAV has recently ventured into Higher Education with DAV-SMK Fomra College of Arts & Science at Kelambakkam, Chennai.
In this context, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated TGT2 Science Teacher to handle Science for Classes 8, 9, and 10, along with Foundation classes for Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda Vidyalaya. The candidate should be able to create an engaging learning environment, strengthen conceptual understanding, and support students in achieving academic success.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science or related subject
- B.Ed. is mandatory
- Prior teaching experience in middle/high school is preferred
Job Description
- Teach Science for Classes 8, 9, and 10
- Handle Foundation classes and support conceptual learning
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and assessment materials
- Conduct practical and activity-based learning sessions wherever applicable
- Monitor student progress and provide academic guidance
- Maintain classroom discipline and encourage student participation
- Participate in school activities, meetings, and parent interactions
- Follow school policies and academic guidelines effectively
Salary shall commensurate with experience.
