Research across the globe tells us that spending a third and fourth year of teaching not only has an exponential impact on deepening an individual’s teaching practice, but also better prepares them for leadership positions within schools. Graduating Transformational Teaching Fellows may continue to teach and/or go on to build capacity in others towards advancing student learning and leadership through roles such as lead teachers, teacher trainers and school leaders.
Transformational Teaching Fellowship (TTF) is designed for graduating Fellows and Alumni who want to:
Deepen their practice as a teacher in the short-term (also positioning them towards teaching and leadership positions within schools in the medium- & long-term)
Create significant impact with students directly, building further on what they learned during the two years of the TFI Fellowship
Contribute to addressing a pressing cross-regional priority for student learning within Teach For India building capacity to support the growth of others
Become part of a passionate community of excellent practitioners who will push their own, and each other’s, thinking and work in this area
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
TTF Fellows will take up the full teaching load for the classrooms they are placed in
Co-create and set aspirational holistic goals for students for the year and design and execute a rigorous plan (keeping in mind that learning happens both inside and outside the school hours) that will help students achieve the outlined goals

SELECTION & MATCHING
The Transformational Teaching Fellowship is a high autonomy, low support opportunity designed to allow individuals to explore teaching and learning with high levels of depth. As a result, both graduating Fellows, current TTF and Alumni will need to go through a selection & matching process, mostly geared to ensure strong alignment and fit with the program and intended outcomes.
The Transformational Teaching Fellowship 2022-23 will have a cohort size of approx. 25 TTF’s placed in any of Teach For India’s 8 cities.
Fellows will be placed in classrooms, within their city of choice, that can best help us to reach our cross regional priorities. This means in some cases Fellows may not be placed in the classrooms of their Fellowship
The Transformational Teaching Fellowship 2022-23 is a nationally led and supported Fellowship. The selection process will be designed by the Training and Impact team and executed nationally with the support of City Leadership.
