Short Description

The Teacher Assistant supports the Early Years Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for young children. The role involves assisting with classroom activities, supporting children’s learning and development, ensuring student well-being, and helping maintain an organized classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities.
• Support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and transitions.
• Provide individual and small-group support to students as directed by the teacher.
• Help prepare teaching materials, learning resources, and classroom displays.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
• Monitor and report children’s progress, behavior, and well-being to the teacher.
