We are looking for a Manager – Teacher Training & Capability Development who will build and own the training
vertical at BrightChamps. This role is responsible for ensuring every teacher – new or experienced – is
well-prepared, confident, and consistent in classroom delivery across demo and paid classes.
The person will design and run structured training programs for onboarding, demo readiness, paid class
readiness, and performance-based retraining. They will build training content, coach teachers and trainers, and
use data and audit insights to continuously improve training effectiveness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Training Program Design & Ownership
– Build structured training programs for new and existing teachers across Coding, Math, Robotics, and
Communication programs.
– Own training journeys across onboarding, demo readiness, paid class readiness, refresher training, and
performance-based retraining.
– Define training SOPs, certification criteria, readiness checkpoints, and trainer guidelines.
2. Teacher Onboarding & Classroom Readiness
– Design and conduct onboarding programs for newly selected teachers, covering class flow, product
understanding, pedagogy, student engagement, communication, parent handling, and platform usage.
– Build practical assessments, mock sessions, and readiness checks that must be cleared before teachers go
live.
– Collaborate with Hiring and Operations teams to improve training completion, certification, and go-live
readiness rates.
3. Demo & Paid Class Training
– Build demo training modules focused on engagement, concept delivery, parent confidence, and conversion
– including standardised scripts, questioning techniques, classroom energy, and closing methods.
– Build paid class training modules focused on learning outcomes, student retention, doubt handling, and
class experience consistency.
– Continuously refine training modules based on demo conversion data, class quality audits, parent feedback,
and student engagement trends.
4. Refresher Training & Performance-Based Interventions
– Use audit reports, teacher performance data, and escalation trends to identify targeted training needs.
– Design and deliver topic-specific, grade-specific, and skill-specific training interventions for teachers with
gaps in concept clarity, engagement, communication, or classroom structure.
– Track post-training improvement and close the loop with Quality and Academic Operations teams.
5. Training Content, Tools & AI Adoption
– Create and maintain training decks, session plans, role-play formats, practice tasks, rubrics, sample videos,
and assessment templates.
– Maintain a centralised, version-controlled training repository accessible to trainers and the operations team.
– Use AI tools to improve content creation, personalise teacher development plans, summarise feedback
themes, and improve trainer productivity.
6. Trainer Development & Cross-functional Collaboration
– Lead and develop trainers as the function scales; conduct calibration sessions to ensure consistency in
training delivery and evaluation.
– Work closely with Quality, Academic Operations, Teacher Hiring, and Customer Success teams to align
training with audit findings, escalation RCAs, and hiring filter improvements.
– Share training performance insights with leadership with clear metrics and recommendations.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION
– 4–7 years of experience in teacher training, academic operations, learning & development, or teacher
capability building; prior experience in EdTech, K-12, or live online learning preferred.
– Experience designing or managing teacher training programs is a strong advantage.
– Strong understanding of pedagogy, online classroom delivery, student engagement, and teacher coaching.
– Ability to convert classroom gaps and audit data into structured, targeted training interventions.
– Strong facilitation skills – engaging, outcome-driven, and adaptable to different teacher profiles.
– Ability to give specific, actionable, and empathetic feedback to teachers and trainers.
– Data-oriented approach with comfort in Google Sheets, training trackers, dashboards, and reports.
– Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
– Bachelor’s degree mandatory; B.Ed, M.Ed, training certification, or instructional design certification is an
added advantage.
