Position Summary The Recruitment Manager (RM) is responsible for securing engagements in the nation’s top colleges, corporates and youth hubs to inspire the brightest leaders to join the Teach For India Fellowship Program. The RM oversees the brand presence and penetration of the organization in a particular region creates a diverse ecosystem of ambassadors and advocates within colleges, corporates and youth hubs and creates a high-quality candidate experience to ensure excellence in the fellowship and alumni movement. Team Overview The Recruitment team is not just the face, but also the heart of Teach For India. The Recruitment team advocates and fight to get the greatest leaders into our classrooms to ensure Teach For Indias continued and multiplied impact on Indian education. The teams work is at the core of building our movement. As one of the most external-facing teams, we build the brand of Teach For India nationally through engagement with the top institutions of the country, media partnerships, branding and promotion campaigns, and by creating strong champions for the movement. We provide avenues for prospective applicants to meet with Fellows, Staff and students, and we meet with corporate and college stakeholders to invest them in the movement. We engage with the city teams in order to ensure that the organisation acts as one team in our mission to find our movement of leaders who will eliminate educational inequity and ensure that all children attain an excellent vision. Responsibilities Creating a compelling vision and strategy to engage with institutions and individuals in order to attract the best and the brightest leaders in a city. Building and managing relationships and partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders such as heads of colleges, corporates, youth hubs, alums, Fellows and staff to create strong networks in the region that will ensure sustainable channels for the Fellowship Program. Designing and executing recruitment campaigns/engagements/presentations in colleges, corporates, youth hubs and other events across the country. Meeting with high potential youth of the city and investing them in Teach For India’s movement towards educational equity all the way up until the Fellowship. Managing a team of 4-5 campaign leaders from the top colleges or corporate champions in the city. Designing a high-quality candidate experience right from the time when the candidate expresses interest in the Fellowship Program until the candidate joins the Fellowship Program. Planning and executing events for the prospective Fellows to build the essential knowledge, mindsets and beliefs in them that are required to join Teach For India’s movement towards educational equity. Additional Responsibilities Knowledge and Technical Skills Competencies and Abilities Values and Mindsets Education and Experience Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Competencies 2 years of professional experience A Bachelors or a Masters Degree in any field Strong presentation and persuasion skills Ability to deeply listen and communicate effectively in speaking & writing Ability to build relationships and invest others in our work internally and externally Strategic planning – planning and executing recruitment campaigns/engagements Strong goal orientation and ability to meet targets/deadlines Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Competencies Ability to analyse and interpret data Ability to build and lead teams – Managing campaign leaders and relationships with the wider network In-depth knowledge of the Teach for India Fellowship Program Previously engaged in market research, branding and sales A Bachelors or a Masters Degree in a social/ developmental field 2- 4 years of professional experience in the social sector
