Building Kidz of Hillsborough is searching for a motivated and enthusiastic Lead Teacher to join our team in providing a safe, fun, and enriching environment for children.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Greet children and parents daily at drop-off & pick-up
• Adhere to and act in accordance with Building Kidz mission and values
• Observe the children and respond accordingly to their needs
• Demonstrate knowledge of Building Kidz philosophy and curriculum expectations
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can grow and learn
• Partner and communicate with parents to educate and inform of progress and daily activities
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and order
• Implement Building Kidz curriculum for children of varying ages and needs
• Be a supportive and contributing member of the team
• Demonstrate initiative in decision-making; i.e. transitions, classroom management, crisis management
• Provide appropriate role modeling to fellow staff members
• Consistently demonstrate a positive and professional attitude
• Adhere to and act in line with company mission and values at all times
• May be called upon for off-site activities related to team building with co-workers

Successful Candidates Must Have:

• Bachelors or Associate Degree in Early Childhood preferred but not required
• Some ECE credits preferred
• Minimum of 1 year teaching experience required
• Passion for children’s learning and development
• Ability to adapt to quickly changing circumstances
• Problem-solving capabilities and ability to adhere to an established schedule
