We are hiring for “Head of Sales – Education Loan” role with a Growing start-up

Role: Head of Sales – Education Loan (Higher Education)

Location: Mumbai / Bangalore

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth for education loan (Higher Education Loan) products.
  • Build and manage a high-performing sales team, providing leadership, guidance, and motivation.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to develop effective lead generation and customer acquisition strategies.
  • Identify target markets and customer segments for education loan products, and create tailored sales and marketing approaches for each segment.
  • Set sales targets and KPIs for the team, monitor performance, and provide regular updates and reports to the management team.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including product development and operations teams, to ensure efficient delivery of education loan products and services.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify market trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities for business growth.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, educational institutions, and industry partners to generate business referrals and partnerships.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and developments, and provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Manage the sales budget, allocate resources effectively, and optimize cost-efficiency.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work culture within the sales team, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor or master degree.
  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and industry partners.
  • Sound business acumen, with a deep understanding of sales strategies, market dynamics, and customer behavior.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and use insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Experience in the education loan industry is highly desirable.
