Academic Counselor at LearnersNote

Are you passionate about guiding students towards academic success? Join LearnersNote as an Academic Counselor and play a pivotal role in supporting students on their educational journey. Should be good in English communication.

To counsel students/candidates regarding the latest technologies / competencies pertaining to IT domain and to establish and maintain good rapport with prospective students.

She must be able to handle students of different age groups and level of English with grace and patience. Preparing student data and counselling students over the phone.

The role of this position requires the candidate to have a unique ability in conducting academics and business simultaneously.

You must be an excellent communicator and have superior people skills, also comfortable presenting program details over the phone.

You will be responsible for guiding potential students to enroll in the programs offered by the Institute by giving them correct and complete information about the programs and admissions. Here’s what the role entails:

Responsibilities:

1. Student Guidance:

• Provide personalized academic counseling to students, understanding their goals and challenges.
• Assist students in selecting appropriate courses and educational programs based on their aspirations.

Career Counseling:

• Offer insights into various career paths and help students make informed decisions about their academic and professional futures.
• Stay updated on industry trends and educational opportunities to provide relevant guidance.

Educational Planning:

• Collaborate with students to create personalized academic plans, considering their strengths, weaknesses, and long-term objectives.
• Guide students in selecting extracurricular activities and additional learning opportunities.

Communication:

• Maintain clear and effective communication with students, parents, and teachers to ensure a collaborative and supportive academic environment.
• Address concerns, provide progress reports, and offer solutions to academic challenges.

Resource Management:

• Assist students in accessing academic resources, study materials, and additional support services.
• Collaborate with teachers and administrators to enhance the overall learning experience.

Data Analysis:

• Analyze student academic performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Work towards implementing strategies to enhance overall student success.

Orientation Programs:

• Conduct orientation programs for new students, introducing them to academic policies, support services, and available resources.

Professional Development:

• Stay informed about advancements in education and counseling through continuous professional development.
• Participate in workshops and training sessions to enhance counseling skills.

Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Counseling, Education, or a related field.
• Proven experience in academic counseling or a related role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with educational systems and curriculum structures.
• Empathy and understanding towards students’ academic and personal challenges.

Salary range – Fixed salary 12k to 20k per months Plus incentive based on the performance

Location: Thrissur, Chembukkavu (Work from Office)

* Work timings – 9:30am to 6pm (2nd Saturday & Sunday holiday)
