The tasks include:· Counsel students and parents over call regarding educational issues such as course and program selection, class scheduling and career prospects.· Making outbound calls and receiving inbound calls as and when required.· Handling new queries over calls, emails, and social media and updates.· Counsel individuals to help them understand and overcome personal, social, or behavioural problems affecting their educational or vocational situations.· Maintain accurate and complete student records.· Confer with parents or guardians, teachers, other counsellors, and administrators to resolve students’ behavioural, academic, and other problems.· Meet with other professionals to discuss individual students’ needs and progress.· Provide students with information regarding the involved activities in the selected programs.· Prepare reports on students and activities as required by administration.· Prepare students for later educational experiences by encouraging them to explore learning opportunities and to persevere with challenging tasksThe Tele Counsellor should have:§ Good written & verbal communication skills§ Good personality and coordination skills§ Be able to respond well to pressure§ Think creatively§ Be interested in what motivates people and studentsThis position is best suited for a candidate with an education and work background in Tele counselling particularly education counselling.
