Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Participating in student counselling related work on the phone and also in-person
- Helping students choose their careers as per their capabilities and aspirations
- Assigning students periodic goals for their career and personality enhancement
- Tracking student’s progress for achieving their goals
- Teaching the students personality development and language skills
- Receiving phone calls from parents who wish to enroll their children for counselling or who need financial assistance for education
- Helping students enroll into various scholarship programs available
- Helping graduates/school drop-outs/college drop-outs secure a job
- Co-ordinating with various volunteers, assigning them tasks and tracking them to completion
- Regular reporting of daily tasks to the trustees
- Maintaining records of day to day tasks and tracking them to completion
Desired Candidate Profile
The candidate should:
- Be passionate to work with children
- Have strong “follow up” and reporting skills. This a MUST.
- Be flexible in your work roles and responsibilities
- Be willing to travel within Pune
- Be willing to visit slums, mosques and be willing to interact with various stakeholders
- Candidates from 0 upto 20 years of experience will be considered for this position. However, experienced candidates will be preferred
Educational Qualifications Needed
The candidate should have a Masters Degree in Social Work or MSW (M.SW). Optionally, the candidate should have a Degree/Experience in Teaching or Psychology
Additional Details
- Training will be provided for executing the roles and responsibilities above
- Training could include child psychology courses, spoken english, career counselling
- Travel and mobile related expenses will be borne by the trust
