We are looking for an experienced K-12 School Administrator for a premium CBSE School under a reputed brand in Bangalore North, close to the Bangalore International Airport. Only Candidates from Bangalore with experience of managing CBSE / CISCE Schools are preferred.

JOB TITLE: Administrator

REPORTS TO: Principal / School Managing Committee only through the Principal

LINE MANAGES: Entire administration team in the School

PURPOSE

The Administrator will be responsible for the school operations, school office, parent relations, facilities, events, records, maintenance, transport, IT, estate, etc. He will be coordinating all the activities related to the following under the direct supervision of the Principal:

  • School Office Management
  • Events and Estate Management
  • People Management (HR) & Statutory Compliance of Labour Law
  • Budgeting, Accounting and Cost Management
  • Affiliation, legal and statutory matters
  • Marketing & Admissions
  • Health, Safety and Security
  • IT services
  • Campus Security
  • Sports facilities and administration
  • She/He will also monitor the outsourced services like security, transport, repairs, maintenance and others.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • A post-graduate in Management with a minimum of 60% marks aggregate
  • Minimum of two years of experience managing non-academic activities in a CBSE School

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Sound knowledge of Finance, Budgets and Accounts
  • Basic knowledge of accounting software packages like Tally
  • Good knowledge of MS Office software suite and ERP in education
  • Ability to lead the team and solve problems, take the initiative and plan the tasks
  • Flexibility with time to work extra hours whenever required
  • Exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English & Kannada language
  • Comprehensive knowledge of CBSE Norms and Affiliation guidelines
  • Essential awareness of work-related laws like contracts, right to education, etc.
  • Ability to work in teams, manage teams and manage crisis

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that school requirements are interpreted carefully and that the academic needs of teachers and other staff are administered timely and cost-effectively.
  • To furnish the statutory and legal requirements for affiliation, enrollment and examination and Liaising with CBSE and State / Block / District Education Office. 
  • To take care of marketing, students admissions, enrollment with CBSE and State / Block / District Education Office and other related work
  • To keep track of all the payments made by the student and take necessary action wherever required in line with the Management
  • To follow people practices and implement the HR policies in line with management policies
  • Guiding and Directing the Administrative staff to finish the task within a specific time
  • To adhere to the SOPs / Templates / Processes for purchase, facilities management, cash and
  • bank transactions, and other administrative & HR processes/systems as designed and
  • developed
  • To follow a team-oriented approach to the services for supporting the academic standards
  • and regulations of the School
  • Training and development of the staff
  • Participate in the orientation of new faculty members and education of all faculty and staff in
  • line with the rules and regulations of the Management.
  • Leading and directing the admin team during Welcome Ceremony, Annual Day, Prize
  • Ceremony, Sports Day, Annual Function, and all such events as and when required
  • To improve the quality of the learning environment and maximise the use of facilities from
  • time to time
  • To arrange workshops and exhibitions on the school campus
  • To monitor sports and cultural activities in the school under the guidance of the Principal and
  • other teaching staff
  • Oversee IT, Security, Health and safety, estates and facilities and other relevant departments
  • in the School
  • Prepare capital, revenue and cash budget and ensure its minimum variance
  • To provide cost optimisation and revenue generation without compromising on the quality of
  • education imparted in school
  • To undertake research and survey of the community along with analysis of such data
  • To engage the community and parents in various allied activities of the school
  • To act as a custodian of the School and ensure the safety, protection and proper utilisation of
  • School property and assets.
  • To perform other duties of a similar nature or level as guided by the Principal.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasional flexibility to work in other roles as required for the development and expansion of the School or as suggested by the Principal.
  • Flexibility to travel to other places as and when required by the School.
