Job Description Leadership Role Play a key role as an educational and Instructional leader
Strategically lead the school to provide inspiration and strong leadership to the teaching faculty and ensure that the school continues to deliver the highest standards of learning across the board
Nurture, mentor, and counsel staff so that they are inspired to serve
Oversee opportunities for growth and continuing professional development of the teaching team by creating an inspiring, professional work environment and modelling behaviour consistent with the schools values and aspirations
Lead effective and inspiring team communication mechanisms to ensure that all staff are involved in the school development plan and engaged with key priorities and developments
Lead parental engagement opportunities for parents to grow in their understanding of the Schools curriculum and mission
Meet the prospective parents and guide and support parents
Management Role Oversee, through personal action and appropriate delegation, smooth and effective School operations in terms of staffing, timetabling, admissions, administration, and finance
Support the quality of teaching and learning and the delivery of the curriculum across the board
Build on success areas and identify and act on areas of improvement
Responsible for Curriculum planning and development
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of the pupils at the school
Follow and develop Standard Operating Procedures in line with SBS values
Develop and implement school policies as directed by the Director
Create a welcoming and harmonious culture at the school for the students, parents, and staff
Responsible for organising all school events as per the school calendar

Essential Qualification and Experience Minimum 10-15 years of work experience in a reputed institution in India or overseas
Good academic credentials with preferably a Master’s degree and a Diploma/Degree in early childhood care & education
Experience in a leadership position in a school
Deep understanding of progressive pedagogies for the early years
Good understanding of Montessori and Reggio Emilia approach
Outstanding knowledge and proven skills in curriculum development and pastoral care
Highly developed leadership and management skills
Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment, and to build a cohesive and effective team
Good understanding of role of Performing Arts/Visual Arts and Physical Education in the early years
Should be familiar and have a good understanding of the local culture and value systems
Understanding of working with children with Special Needs
Should possess sound knowledge of Administrative functioning and Financial Planning
