Attractive VPS 3.1 hourly rates between $45.86 + 10.5% superannuation
About the opportunity
Reporting to the Production Manager, your key accountabilities will include:
Ensuring excellent delivery of a range of new and existing audience engagement programs, designed for school groups, early years and school-aged audiences
Presenting a range of educational and learning events, workshops and activities to school-aged audiences including school groups
Delivering a seamless program experience to engage and educate early years and school-aged audiences
Providing excellent customer service
Resolving operational or program maintenance issues
Contributing to a process of continuous improvement by providing feedback to the Experience Design and Programming teams on audience response to the programs and through internal process reviews
About you
As our ideal candidate, you will have/be:
Experience working with children in an educational setting
An understanding of teaching and learning principles, practices and standards associated with delivering and monitoring ways in which target audiences respond to the programs
Insights into issues and trends within the cultural and education sectors and knowledge of the diverse needs and expectations of young Victorians, teachers and students
Experience in creative learning facilitation (highly desirable)
Experience in Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) subject matter and teaching environments (desirable)
Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (desirable)
Experience working in a museums or cultural institution (desirable)
Excellent event management skills
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
A collaborative problem solver with a creative flair
A proactive team player with good cultural awareness
A recognised tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience in primary or secondary education
A valid Working with Children Check card or ability to obtain one prior to commencement
