RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for supporting Head, Retail, Wealth, and Private bank CFCC Advisory in India for Segments (Personal, Priority, Premium, Private) & Retail Products (Deposits, Mortgages, CCPL, CCPL Direct Sales) & Digital Channel.
- Responsible for providing details of developments relating to Segments & Retail Products compliance and conduct, giving rise to a material risk that serious regulatory breaches or breaches of country risk appetite metrics may occur and notifying any such breaches to (as appropriate):
- Head, Wealth & Private Bank CFCC India
- The relevant Heads of Business
Strategy
- Support Head Retail, Wealth, and PvB CFCC India in implementing the vision, strategy and direction set for the Retail, Wealth and PvB CFCC function in India
- Practice the culture and compliance with CFCC standards (including conducting business within regulatory requirements, and to high ethical standards) within the Bank and embed a Here for good culture and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Establish close links with colleagues of other Client segments and/or Product Groups to achieve common platforms and work plans, implementing a One Bank approach to covering all Clients.
Business
- Analyse comprehensive impact of CFCC matters on the relevant business areas (Segments & Retail Products) and their operations.
- Ensure that key changes (to laws, rules, regulations) pertaining to Segments & Retail Products are communicated and cascaded (in region/country).
- Support relevant stakeholders to make decisions based on current and possible future policies, practices, and trends.
- Ensure appropriate advice is provided to the relevant stakeholders on the interpretation and application of regulatory expectations, laws, best practices, and policies related to Segments & Retail Products CFCC.
Processes
- Support Head Wealth and PvB CFCC India in review and approval of appropriate policies/processes/DOls to address CFCC risks related to Segments & Retail Products, aligning them with relevant regulatory requirements.
People & Talent
- Help in creating an environment of appropriate culture and values. work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
Risk Management
- Support Head Retail, Wealth, and PvB CFCC India in identifying and assessing sources of Segments & Retail Products related regulatory risks and ensure that systems and controls are appropriate to mitigate and manage risks within acceptable risk tolerance levels. Report on material regulatory, CFCC risks pertaining to Segments & Retail Products.
- Maintain track of risk mitigating action plans pertaining to Segments & Retail Products.
- Inform Head Retail, Wealth, and PvB CFCC India serious regulatory breaches (or where risk tolerances have been breached) and ensure that actions are taken quickly to remediate and/or activities are ceased.
Governance
- Support Head Retail, Wealth, and PvB CFCC India in oversight of the Segments & Retail Products CFCC function in India. including the various Group CFCC frameworks and programs within India pertaining to Segments & Retail Products.
- Ensure lessons learned from audit findings, CFCC assurance activities and specific investigations are prepared and cascaded to relevant stakeholders.
- Support Head Retail, Wealth, and PvB CFCC India in providing timely, relevant, and accurate management information on key regulatory risks and control effectiveness.
- Support the product program and country addendum framework in India pertaining to Segments & Retail Products.
Regulatory relationships
- Support Head Retail, Wealth and PvB CFCC India in managing regulatory inspections pertaining to Segments & Retail Products
- Engage with Regulators as and when required to support Business on Segments & Retail Products matters
