Duties and Responsibilities

Create a positive, achievement-oriented and structured learning environment that excites and invests students.

Support individual students through one-on-one tutoring or small group instruction.

Build a classroom community and relationships with students

Develop age-appropriate STEM lesson plans to be submitted in a timely manner.

Assist with planning and preparation of special events and projects.

Meet regularly with directors and other staff members to share best practices and address challenges.

Skills and Characteristics

High level of personal organization and planning.

Strong instructional and classroom management skills.

A deep love of content, and an unwavering belief that all students can and will succeed.

Team player, strong work ethic, follow-through, sense of humour, willingness to respond positively to feedback and a “roll-up-my-sleeves” attitude.

Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
