Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a Special Education Teacher. The role involves working closely with children with special educational needs, planning and delivering tailored lessons, developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and assessing student progress. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with families and other professionals, fostering an inclusive environment for learning, and utilizing effective communication to address behavioral and developmental goals.
Qualifications
- Expertise in teaching and special education methodologies, with a focus on working with children with disabilities
- Experience in teaching middle school-aged children and designing developmentally appropriate learning materials
- Strong communication skills for engaging with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability to meet individual student needs
- Relevant certifications or degrees in Special Education or related fields are highly desirable
- Knowledge of behavioral and psychological approaches for supporting children with Autism, ADHD, or Learning Disabilities is a plus
