This is a remote position.

This job is to teach “Carnatic Vocal Music” online to international and domestic students.

• Teachers who are proficient in Carnatic Vocals should only apply for this job.

• Having a Master’s degree in Carnatic classical music certified by a recognized university is preferable.

• Teach Carnatic classical music, aural skills, and practical techniques to students to prepare them for examinations

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Selected candidates would need to be flexible with timings and give 5 hrs on the platform.

• Candidates should be available to work on weekends.

• Educates students by planning and course of study, according to the curriculum guidelines of the academy.

• Monitors, assists, corrects, and grade student results by preparing assignments and conducting standardized tests in collaboration with the Subject matter experts.

• Incorporate innovative methods of teaching to make learning fun for kids.

• Acquire appropriate teaching materials and resources relevant to students

• Motivate students to help them make progress in their musical skills

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Master’s degree in music certified from a recognized university

• Master of Arts (MA) in Carnatic Vocal

• Master of Arts (MA) in Classical Music & professional Carnatic vocal teaching experience

• Certified classical/Carnatic performing artist and recognized by the respective association

• Excellent command over Carnatic Classical

• Experience in music teaching is desirable

• Comfort with technology-based Online Learning (using the internet & computers). You should have a LAPTOP and high-speed broadband connection and a required setup at your home.

• Confident in leading online personal & group classes, Good presentation skills & classroom management capability

• Self-motivated and team player, with good self-management skills

• Good communication skills in English and Indian languages

• You should have demonstrable experience teaching music to students online using Skype, Zoom, or Google meet.

• Ability to interact collaboratively with students, parents, and administration

• Good oral and written skills

• Familiar with Word, Excel, or equivalent spreadsheet software, fast learner

• Able to pass a drug test and local background check
