JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: – Assistant Manager – Content Accessibility & Localisation
Purpose:
The candidate will be part of content hygiene operations, dedicated to enable dubbing and closed captioning workflow process as per industry standards. The aim is to create a pipeline that leverages innovative AI solutions to facilitate quick, accurate ancillary deliverables. Scripting and transcription will be automated and need to be checked for grammatical/spellcheck errors. Thereafter, the content needs to be mixed and prepared for distribution. The candidate must also know the entire localisation universe, mainly focusing on Dubbing.
You will need to show excellent reporting skills, be technically minded, have a deep understanding of dubbing, translation & subtitling quality specs, be solution-focused and have strong communication skills. You will need to have excellent time management and organisational skills, use technology to achieve quicker, faster solutions, have the ability to prioritise tasks, manage the demands of a fast-paced environment, and have demonstrable experience working to tight deadlines.
Education: Graduate or Engineering; Technical background preferred
Experience: 8-10 years of experience in working/freelancing for organisations in content transcription, dubbing etc.

Key Responsibilities:
- Proofread and edited closed captions to ensure they adhere to grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style guidelines.
- Ensure the reviewed content is
- to the context,
- accurate
- easy-to-read.
- The Context of the closed caption text must convey the actual intent of the ongoing video about Accessibility Standards for Persons with Disabilities ( Hearing Impaired)
- In the case of translations, the creative intent of the ongoing scene must be preserved and at par with the original language in which it was made.
- Use specialised subtitling software to synchronize subtitles with audio/dialogue, considering pacing, scene changes, and on-screen text.
- Assist in organising and seeking approvals for suitable/preferred voices from the client.
- Work closely with content creators, video editors, and project managers to coordinate subtitling /dubbing tasks and ensure timely delivery of finalised content.
- To produce high-quality subtitles, stay updated on language trends, cultural references, and industry-specific terminology.
- Look at the end-to-end process of the overall pipeline and keep improving the TAT.

2. Technical –
- Understanding quality aspects of content in general
- Proficiency in at least two languages, including written and spoken communication fluency.
- Previous experience in dubbing, subtitling, and captioning with hands-on knowledge of related tools/software.
- Familiarity with multimedia formats (e.g., video files, streaming platforms) and understanding of accessibility standards for subtitles.
- Understanding of AI and API integrations.
