Our core program, Peer Teaching, trains senior students to mentor their juniors in foundational skills like reading and math. About The Role

The Social Media Associate will lead and manage Involve’s social media presence end-to-end across platforms. This role is ideal for someone who combines creativity with execution, someone who can create compelling content, stay on top of trends, and ensure consistent brand storytelling across digital platforms.

The role involves content ideation, design, video creation, publishing, campaign execution, community engagement, and performance tracking. You will work closely with the programs team, and external collaborators to build a strong and engaging digital presence for Involve and the larger student agency movement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Strategy & Management

• Develop and execute platform-specific social media strategies across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.
• Create and manage content calendars aligned with campaigns, events, launches, and organizational priorities.
• Ensure consistency in brand voice, storytelling, and visual identity across platforms.
• Track trends, audience behavior, and platform updates to identify growth opportunities.
• Act as the Point of Contact (POC) for communication requests from internal teams

2. Content Creation & Design

• Design and create social media assets including carousels, stories, static posts, thumbnails, newsletter, videos, reels, and campaign creatives.
• Conceptualize, shoot, and edit short-form videos and platform-native content.
• Execute campaigns end-to-end in collaboration with internal teams and external collaborators.
• Capture photos and videos during events, workshops, and field visits when required.
• Handle basic production equipment including cameras, microphones, tripods, and mobile setups.

3. Publishing, Engagement & Optimization

• Manage content publishing, audience engagement, and community interactions across platforms.
• Track and analyze social media performance metrics to optimize content strategy and growth.
• Maintain organized content repositories, templates, and social media assets.

Skills & Qualifications

• Understanding of Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.
• Design & video editing skills (Canva Required; other tools are add on)
• Strong visual storytelling and design sensibility.
• Ability to work independently, manage timelines, and execute quickly.
• Creative thinker with attention to detail and awareness of social media trends.
• Frequent field visits will be part of the role
