RESPONSIBILITIES :

Interpret and implement all pertinent department, college, and university policies and procedures

– Interprets and explains university academic policies and procedures
– Advise first-year and undeclared students with regards to their educational, career, personal and social development, including clarifying academic policies and rules, college degree requirements, and referring students to academic and personal resources as appropriate
– Coordinates processes to evaluate study abroad coursework to assign equivalencies and apply to degree requirements
– Maintains individual student records in accordance with appropriate security and legal requirements
– Advise students in planning academic goals and programs, evaluating progress toward degree, and developing career or graduate school plans
– Assist students in course selection and registration
– Guide students in successful academic problem solving and accessing services at the university
– Prepare applications for admission to the English major, graduation applications, graduation petitions, and satisfactory progress petitions
