About SK Children Foundation

In 2016, Raghav Sharma, a class 12th student, bought some ice cream from a stall when he encountered some kids who asked him to buy them the treats. The kids were from a nearby slum. Being his creative self, Raghav asked the kids to recite the English alphabet in exchange for ice cream. When they couldn’t recall the alphabets, he realized something: the gap in society between the have’s and the have-nots. At that very moment, he asked himself- why shouldn’t every child be given the same basic opportunities to realize his/her potential?

Then he started the SK Children Foundation, a nonprofit organization (NGO) that works 365 days a year to provide the best education to the underprivileged section of society. SK Children Foundation aims to teach needy children subjects and life values beyond the horizon of normal schooling. We strongly believe that every child should get equal opportunities in terms of education and co-curricular activities.

Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Conducting on-ground classes that carry a duration of 1.5 hours approx.
2. Conducting engaging activities for the students
3. Ensuring that discipline is maintained
4. Managing class and students
5. Working on auxiliary tasks like forming syllabus for different classes, creating test papers, organizing workshops etc.
